We recognize the urgency to create identical item names with different codes in QuickBooks Online. While this preference is currently unsupported, I recommend following the suggestions provided by my colleagues in this thread.

We don't have the timeline on when our engineers will release new features. Rest assured, this feedback is forwarded to the Development team for consideration in future updates.
