Yeah, this is a HUGE oversight that would have led me to go elsewhere.... Here is why: I NEED a SALES ORDER to log a SALE so it takes inventory, and shows up in SALES REPORTS. An estimate is not a sale in QB, and does not allocate inventory. Only for a quote. Has it's use, but not for what everyone is talking about here. It's obvious the responders from QB just don't get it. I may not have produced the item yet, so it's NOT an invoice until I am done. BUT, it's STILL A SALE. It's incoming revenue and inventory allocation. If I put in an INVOICE, it's all ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE, even though I haven't even made the item yet. But my customer doesn't have it, it's not a receivable. This is a Business 101 gap that is horrendous.
