Let's verify your Windows language and regional settings to ensure they are aligned, as mismatched ones may lead to system errors, Anthony.

QuickBooks Desktop needs the Windows regional settings to match the specific locale version of QuickBooks you are using. Similarly, all computers accessing the same company file must have identical regional settings, since variations can potentially cause errors.

Let's start with checking your current Regional Settings by following the steps below:

  1. Look at your system's notification area to see if the Windows language bar is visible.
  2. If you notice language codes such as EN (English) or JP (Japanese), adjust them to English (United States/Canada). If no codes appear, the settings are likely already configured to English (United States/Canada).

Next, follow these instructions to adjust your Regional Settings to US/Canada:

  1. Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the run command.
  2. Type control panel and click OK.
  3. Select Clock, Language and Region, then click on Change Location.
  4. Under Home Location (Current Location in Windows 7 and Vista), choose United States/Canada.
  5. On the Administrative tab, select Change System Locale, then pick English (United States/Canada).
  6. Hit Apply, then OK.
  7. Restart or reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.

Once you're all set, you can start tracking job costs or customizing customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can count on me if you need help managing your language display, projects, and reports in the program. I'd be glad to help you out.
