I don't think the Intuit team understands the problem.  When we fill out the customer information, we include the phone number in their setup.  Are you with me?  You already have a field that collects the data called "Phone Number"  In the same way that you have a box on the invoice that populates the customer name, and the same way the invoice has a box that populates the address, and shipping address... all information from the customer setup.... stay with me here.... make a field that populates the phone number (previously mentioned above).  As a reminder, this field is already part of the customer setup.  Creating a custom field for something that already exists is not a custom field, it is a redundant field.  This is database design 101.  This thread has been running for years and you have made no attempt at updating it.  You have, however, managed to update the part of the system that continually pops up windows for me to click off whenever I am trying to navigate the software.
