Your link did not get me to the Preferences screen. I played around, and eventually found a screen called Preferences. 

 

I went through the SETTINGS screen (the gear at top of page), Chose ACCOUNT AND SETTINGS, then ADVANCED. There is an option for Communications with Intuit, and I selected MARKETING PREFERENCES which opened a whole new screen.

 

I have been there before, all of the options are off except for direct mail. Figure for what I am paying Intuit, they can help support the Post Office. Those setting don't do a thing to stop all of the ads and suggestions for how Intuit can get deeper into your business and your pockets.
