Plus, I believe in that "work around" you create a Sales Receipt which is going to duplicate your sales and then when the payment comes you will have to delete one or the other (the sales receipt or the invoices) to apply the payment.  What if that takes weeks or months?  You have inaccurate financial reporting in the meantime.
