So I finally figured out a way to do what everyone is talking about:
When I enter Notes in the timesheets, I don't write one continuous blurb. I enter in point form, and use "Shift, Enter" to get to the line below each character limit.
- blah blah blah (96 characters, or whatever the limit is) (shift + enter to get to next line down)
- glflfglhsdfjs (same as above limit) Shift + Enter
- etc.
- etc.
- etc.
