We decided to go with Skyline Payments.  It's a credit card processing system and more.  It integrates with QuickBooks nicely and charges the fee to the customer.  It also it a software that allows customers to see their account balances.  We are very happy with it.  It costs $100 per month but it's worth it to save the fees on credit card processing!
