I appreciate the time you spent reaching out here in the Community, Jez. In this case, to fix your General Ledger report, we can verify and rebuild your data as initial troubleshooting. I'll outline the steps below.

 

Here's how to verify company data:

 

  1. Click on Window and choose Close All.
  2. Click on File, then Utilities.
  3. Choose Verify Data, if you see, QuickBooks detected no problems with your data. But, if you see an error message you can search it in our QuickBooks Desktop support site to fix it. And, if you see your data has lost integrity, you can rebuild your data to fix it.

If the issue still persists, we can fix the data damage. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the File menu, hover over Utilities, and choose Rebuild Data.
  2. In the QuickBooks Information window, click OK. Follow the prompts to save a backup.
  3. Wait while the tool repairs your file
  4. Click OK once the tool finishes.
  5. Again, go to the File menu, hover over Utilities, and select Verify Data.
  6. Let the tool scan your file for any data problems.
