Agreed. And the newest update has done away with my original workaround. However, I have found another. It takes more time unfortunately, but it works.

So, go to the line under your final line of text. In the "Description" box, push your SPACE BAR one time, add another line underneath that one and hit space bar once again. Continue until you arrive at the spacing you desire. QB "reads" the spaces as content, so it will remain blank, eliminating the spacing issue.
