It seems you're trying to access the Vendor Contact List report in modern view but have difficulty adding the vendor's tax ID, @gfacenterville. As you've mentioned, it's an element you used successfully six months ago, and I understand it can be surprising that it isn't available now. To begin, the Tax ID column for your vendor's tax ID information is still available when you switch to the classic view of the report. You can follow these steps:

2. Type in Vendor Contact List in the search field, and select it.

5. Pick Change columns.
6. Tick Tax ID, and hit Run report. 
   

Moreover, a similar customization is available in the modern view but with a few added steps in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced. Here's how:

2. Click Columns, and then, More columns.
3. In the search box, type in tax id.
