QuickBooks Online (QBO) has an automatic feature for creating new invoices from unbilled time charges, which we need to deactivate. Turning off this feature allows you to have control over manually attaching your time charges to existing invoices one by one.
Here’s how to do it:
- Click Account and Settings then select Advanced.
- Look for Automation and then turn off the Automatically invoice unbilled activity.
- Hit Save.

After completing the invoice, you can either send it via email or print it.
Moreover, backing up data is a feature exclusively available in QuickBooks Online Advanced.
