I appreciate your interest in having the collapse feature for reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). We have an open investigation where other users have encountered the same issue. With this, you can contact our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team to be added to the list of affected users and be updated once there's a possible resolution.
Moreover, please know that this is working as designed. Thus, you're unable to go back to the prior version. As we're constantly taking your suggestions into account while making product updates, you can submit your feedback to our Product Development Team if you prefer the old way. The more requests this gets, the more likely it'll be part of future enhancements.
Here's how:
- From the top menu bar, select Help and choose Send Feedback Online.
- Click on Product Suggestion.
- From the drop-down menu for Type of Feedback, select Product Suggestion.
- Choose the Product Area and enter your thoughts and suggestions.
- Once completed, click Send Feedback.
