Buy nowClearly after 6 years of scripted answers, they will not add this!
This is a very simple function to add, they would have done it by now.
They have revamped QBO numerous times in 6 six years since initiating a poll system to get this feature, I doubt anyone voted for the improvements they've added, QBO just did what is best for their business.
In any business it does not take that long to implement changes or provide a truthful answer.
They are probably in the process of updating the script. "Sorry we don't want to add this feature"
I'm going to say they won't ever add this because it will affect their revenue from third party apps.
Many third party apps have working sales order features that are integrated/sync into QBO.
Logically it is not worth QBO's effort since many third party apps have done it already.
They may even argue QBO is an accounting software not and ERP/MRP software.
As soon as they told they us they don't have this basic feature they recommended a few including, we chose ERplain.
ERplain manages all sales order related items (Purchase Order, backorder, inventory etc...)
QBO really now only manages the invoices, payments, and reports.
"The only way to get sales orders is to move away from QB Online. They won't be adding them. If the company had been honest with everyone from the beginning it would have saved us all a lot of frustration."
