Deleting a payment method linked to a client isn't possible in QuickBooks Online. As a workaround, I recommend manually changing the payment method linked to the specific client to remove it.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon and then select All lists.
- Choose Payment Methods.
- Please select the method you want to delete, then click Run report to determine the entries linked to it.
- Manually open the transactions and edit the Payment method.
Once done, you can delete the payment method.
