You can run the Sales by Class Detail report or the Profit and Loss by Class report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) on a cash basis, which will also show expenses. Here’s how you can do it:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Navigate to Reports
  3. Click on the Reports tab in the left-hand menu.
  4. Search for Sales by Class Detail:
  5. Customize the Report:
    • Click on the Customize button.
    • Under the Report period, set your desired date range.
    • In the Display columns by section, ensure you select Class.
  6. Change to Cash Basis:
  7. Run the Report:

Using these reports, you can effectively analyze your sales and expenses by class on a cash basis.
