I have the same issue and no one seems to understand the problem. I talked to 3 customer support and they always say that the problem was that I was updating the original JE. I explained that I was reversing the original JE to an open period so it should not ask for a password. They suggested to just enter the password, but here are the issues. We are a team and I can't go to each one and enter the password whenever they need to reverse a JE and what's the difference now of a closed and open period if both ask for password.

 

This reversal function is really basic in any accounting software, and I do not understand why non-accounting engineers would change this function without consulting the actual users. QBO do better.

 

It's been a week now and still no response from QBO.
