I'll provide another way to run reports of bank balances in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mjsjuly.

Although the feature to run a specific funds that would line up accounts isn't possible in QBO, you may consider running a Transaction Detail by Account as workaround to show detailed breakdown of transaction line items. Also, it allows customization and filtering based on various criteria for better insights.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Type Transaction Detail by Account in the search field.
  3. If you're in the modern view, switch to classic view, and click the Customize button.
  4. Set the correct date under Report period.
  5. Tick the box for Balance, Transaction Type, Amount, and Date in the Change columns section.
  6. Tick the box for the Distribution Account in the Filter section.
  7. You can tick the box for all the accounts you wish to show on the report.
  8. Once done, click on Run report.

You can click export icon to transfer the reports to Excel.

Also, memorizing reports in QBO allows you to easily access specific reports by saving customized settings. It also helps in organizing reports efficiently.
