I can only imagine what you've been through, @herbie1057.

I recognize how beneficial it is for you to conveniently manage your Product/Service before sending out an email to your customers in QuickBooks Online.

I understand that manually turning on/off the Product/Services would consume a lot of your time. As a workaround, I suggest following the steps provided by my colleague above to create a template that allows you to choose the elements you want to include in your invoice and arrange them to suit your needs. Setting it as default will give you more control over the final output and allow you to tailor it to your requirements.

Once you've completed this process, you can go to the invoice and select the style you created/edited. You can also preview the invoices before printing them. Additionally, even if you toggle the Products/Service button off for your invoices, the column will still show. However, once you email it to your customer, the Product/Service column won't appear.

This is what your customer will be seeing once you set the default custom template that you created and email it to them:

I understand how this feature would help you efficiently manage your business in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Currently, we don't have a specific timeline for implementing the feature that allows users to turn off/on Products/Services and will automatically operate before sending out an email. Therefore, I encourage you to submit feedback to our Product Developer team. Your suggestions are highly valuable to us, and we will consider them while making product updates.

To submit your suggestion:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type in your product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

Additionally, you can refer to these articles to learn how to add links for your customers so they can pay you online, also, to know about the new updates and manage your transactions in QuickBooks:
