Thanks for joining this thread, Mike.

Currently, showing active classes automatically in a report is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

As a workaround, you can run the report that shows the deposit. Then, add the Class column by customizing it. Once done, memorize the report customization.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Select the kind of report you want to run.
  3. Click the Customize Report.
  4. Go to Columns and search Class to include it.
  5. Then, move your mouse to the Filters tab.
  6. Type Class in the provided field and click it.
  7. Click the Class dropdown and select what class you want to show. All transactions under that class you choose will show on the report. Then, OK.
  8. Once the data shows correctly, select Memorize above.
  9. Enter the name you want for the memorized report. Select where to share this report. Then, click OK to save.

The next time you pull up this kind of report, you can go to the Memorized Reports tab and click it. You can change the date range and the class you want to view if necessary.

To learn more about memorizing reports in QBDT, you can read this article: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.

For future reference, if you have multiple company files and want to learn how to view them in one financial report, check out this article: Combine reports from multiple company files.

Feel free to return here if you have additional questions about managing your transactions under a specific class in QBDT. We'll be willing to help. Take care, and have a good day.
