Hello there, tjsairandhear. I know how essential it is for you and your business to utilize the advanced search option flawlessly.

I'm here to ensure you can efficiently use the New Advanced search experiences. You can utilize the More Filters button to show the specific transaction that you're looking for effectively.

Aside from the filter fields you see in the Search for transactions window, here is the list you can filter in the advanced search:

  • Description
  • Products & services
  • Class
  • Location
  • Accounts
  • Tracking number
  • PO
  • Service Date
  • Sort Code and Account Number
  • Payment method
  • SKU

Here's how to use the Advanced search:

  1. Select the Magnifying Glass.
  2. Enter the date, amount, or transaction number you want, then select the desired transaction.
  3. If the transaction you're looking for does not appear on the results list, select Advanced Search.
  4. You can adjust the filters to find the type of data you want. Example:
    a. Change Reference no. to Last Modified Date.
    b. Change Today to Past 30 Days.
    c. Select Search. This should give you a list of transactions that meet your filter criteria.
    d. Narrow the list by changing the Last Modified Date to Amount. Choose Equals from the second dropdown menu, then type 100.
    e. Select Add Filter.

If it's still not working after trying the filters, you can open your account in an incognito mode to see if this has something to do with your browser.

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After signing in, you use the advanced search again. If this resolves the problem, return to your default browser and clear the cache to refresh the page and start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you can also use other supported browsers.

If you have any more questions about using the advanced search in QuickBooks Online, please post them here in the Community. We're here to help you out.
