I have resorted to opening the invoices in Acrobat and removing the QR codes manually.  Perhaps not an option for some, but it's relatively quick.  Hate that it's added an extra step.

I've always been annoyed with Quickbooks' incessant attempts at cross-selling services I have less than zero interest in.  I'm already paying for the service I want.  I just want to manage my books...  I don't deserve to have my interface cluttered with "tips," boxes, and banner ads advertising unneeded paid help or insanely expensive payment/banking services.  All of it clutters the interface and makes the tools harder to use.  The recent blue banner ad for paid accounting help pops up on every new screen and actually makes the horizontal scroll functionality inaccessible in reports until the "X" is clicked.  It's driving me insane.

Like another commenter said, this QR code fiasco may be the last straw.  It's a blatant attempt to direct users to Quickbooks Payments, so Intuit can get a cut.  They need to add an option to remove this immediately.  The "workaround" to use a different invoice template provided above is unacceptable.
