I appreciate the detailed information you've shared regarding your concern, KFlemington. I'll help you so you can add the billable hours/expenses to your invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Whenever there's a billable expense attached to a voided invoice, you can't use those billable transactions when generating a new invoice. If you need to add those billable data when creating a new invoice, we'll have to delete the voided invoice so that you can link the billable expense when making a new invoice.

To continue with the invoice deletion, kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Sales menu and choose Invoices.
  3. Locate the invoice. It should have a Voided status.
  4. Click the dropdown arrow ▼ under the Action column. Then, select Delete.
  5. Confirm the deletion by tapping on Delete.

After this, you should be able to select the billable expenses when creating a new invoice for your customer.

Additionally, you may enter an invoice payment if your customer pays an invoice. It allows you to record the payment to the existing invoice and clear out the customer's balance for that item or service.

Don't hesitate to add a reply in this thread if you have more questions about managing your invoices in QuickBooks. I'll be in all hands to assist you. Take care.
