Change Order template and modifying the header from "Invoice" to "Change Order" involves a few simple steps. Here's how you can do it:

Creating a Change Order Template

  1. Open Your Template Document:

    • Use a word processing software like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  2. Modify the Header:

    • Locate the header section of your invoice template.
    • Replace the text "Invoice" with "Change Order".
  3. Update Other Relevant Sections:

    • Ensure other parts of the template reflect the purpose of a change order, such as:
      • Project name and number.
      • Client details.
      • Description of changes.
      • Original contract amount.
      • Net change by previously authorized change orders.
      • Contract sum prior to this change order.
      • Contract sum will be increased/decreased by this change order.
      • New contract sum including this change order.
      • Date of change order.
      • Signatures for authorization.
  4. Save the Template:

    • Save the document as a template file (e.g., .dotx for Word, .xltx for Excel) for future use.
