It's nice to see you here, Jon d. Let me share the availability of the custom fields in invoices using the app.

 

Please know that the custom fields won't sync to the mobile app. That's why you're unable to see them when creating a transaction. 

 

In this case, I recommend submitting feedback to our product developers. They will review and consider implementing it in the future according to the number of user requests. I'll show you how:

 

For Android devices:

 

  1. Select the Menu button.
  2. Scroll down to the Help section to choose Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion then hit Send Feedback.

 

For iOS devices:

 

  1. Go to the Menu ☰ icon, then select Help & Feedback.
  2. Click App Feedback to enter your product suggestions.

 

As a workaround, you may consider making an invoice using a browser. Any modifications made will show from there. Here's an article for your guide: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
