We attempted to NOT use the new account, but to no avail. Definitely switch the newly created one to be your default account, since you can't move anything back to the old account, but you CAN move everything that hasn't already cleared to your new account. It's the only solution they could offer me, and it's definitely what I would advise so you can just put this mess behind you and move forward. The struggle is real.
