Hi there, @bwg

We hear your sentiments and understand that having a more specific report will give you a better experience with the program.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We will let our developers know about the feature you want them to add in the future.

As a workaround, here are the closest reports you can pull up to view that info: Purchases by Vendor Detail and Transaction List by Customer.

The Purchases by Vendor Detail will show the individual lines of the item.

Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Type in Purchases by Vendor Detail in the search field.
  3. Click Filter.
  4. Select Bill on the Transaction type dropdown.
  5. Click Run report.

The Transaction List by Customer will filter the customer to the specific projects and transactions.

Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Type in Transaction List by Customer in the search field.
  3. Go to Customize.
  4. Click Filter.
  5. Select Bill on the Transaction type dropdown.
  6. Choose the specific project on the Customer dropdown.
  7. Click Run report.

After exporting the two reports, you'll need to cross-reference the reports to differentiate which is in the same project.

I've attached an article to help you filter specific data to show in the right place: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Online
