Thanks for posting!  Curious if you have other areas where QBO is a step backward rather than forward.  This issue with being unable to cc additional emails on an invoice is enough to make me avoid a QBO "upgrade", but now I'm curious if you have other examples of things that were possible in QB Desktop and are not possible in QBO.
