You can perform the Verify and Rebuild feature inside QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This way, the program can run a self-check inside its system to determine the root cause of the problem and start fixing it by rebuilding the data. We'll write down the steps below to get you going:

 

  1. Go to Window then select Close All.
  2. Go to File, then select Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data. If you see:
  4. QuickBooks detected no problems with your data—your data is clean, and you don’t need to do anything else.
  5. An error message—search for it on our QuickBooks Desktop support site for how to fix it.
  6. Your data has lost integrity—Data damage was found in the file. Rebuild your data to fix
