What we want, as professional accountants, is for Intuit to TURN OFF the automatic matching always, unless WE decide it can help and then turn it on ourselves for our clients. There are TOO MANY automatic functions within the online versions that are not in the Desktop versions, which is why we, as the professional accountants do NOT always recommend that our clients move over to QBO! This also goes for many accounts in the Chart of Accounts that cannot be deleted or made inactive because Quickbooks has set them up (without our permission) and won't let us change them.
