Hello there, @gipisi

I appreciate you joining this thread and sharing insights about attaching the Outlook email in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Currently, the file types outlined by my colleague, Jen_D above are the only supported format of the program. For reference, check out this article: Supported attachment file types.

As a workaround, you can convert the file format .msg to one of a support type by utilizing an online file converter. Once done, you're now ready to attach it to a transaction form in your QBO company. For the detailed steps, read this link: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.

While we don't have the exact time frame when this will be available, I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers. This way, you can directly relay to them your suggestions and request about adding additional file types for attachments in your QBO forms.

Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Next, select the Feedback option.
  3. From there, enter the details of your product comments, suggestions, and requests.
  4. Then, click Next to submit.

You can also visit our Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online website to track the suggestion you've submitted.

I'll include this helpful resource that you can use as a future guide in case you need to modify the details of your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I'm always here ready to lend a hand if you have other concerns sending forms in QuickBooks. Have a good one and stay safe.
