Since the issue still exists even after using a private browser, I suggest using other supported browsers.
In addition, the chart of accounts contains default accounts that cannot be modified or deleted. To learn which default or special accounts in QuickBooks Online can be removed, edited, or merged, please read this article: Manage default and special accounts in your QuickBooks Online chart of accounts.
Once done, you can merge them to move all the data into the one you want to keep and removes the duplicate. Here's how:
- Go to the Chart of Accounts.
- Find the duplicate account that you want to remove.
- Select the dropdown ▼ in the Action column and then click Edit.
- To ensure that the duplicate account's information exactly matches the account you want to keep, change the Account name and Tax form section.
- Select Save, then click Yes, merge accounts.
