Hi there, @norman.

I hope you're having a great day! Thanks for getting back to us. I understand how beneficial the Class Tracking feature is for segments you want to keep an eye on.

Unsupported versions of QuickBooks Desktop continue to work. However, it becomes more vulnerable to errors or issues such as disappearing columns that you're experiencing.

I suggest performing a clean install of your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This helps fix company file issues. Make sure to create a backup copy of your company file before doing the process. If there are changes that occur, having a backup copy allows you to restore it to undo the changes.

Here's how to uninstall QuickBooks:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Search for “Control Panel”, then open Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. From the list of programs, select your version of QuickBooks Desktop you want to uninstall.
  4. Select Uninstall/Change and then Remove.  Select Next.  If you don’t see this option, sign out and sign back in to Windows as an admin (or a user with admin rights).

When you’re done, reinstall your QBDT.

Drop me a comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up questions. I'd be more than happy to assist you again, @norman.
