I understand that changing the service/product without deleting the information on description, rate, and quantity saves you time.

 

If the replaced item contains different information, the system will automatically update the information, depending on how the product/service is set up. 

 

The idea is fantastic for future product enhancement, and I encourage you to send your product suggestions through QuickBooks. Our product development team reviews all customer suggestions and may include them in the next update.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Feedback.
  4. Enter your product suggestion.
  5. Once done, hit Next to submit.

 

Meanwhile, you may take a screenshot of the information and manually re-enter it when changing the line item on an invoice.
