Thanks for the prompt response and the additional information. Allow me to join the conversation and share some more insights about the 4-week period reporting in QuickBooks Desktop.

Resetting the 4-week period and adjusting the fiscal year for your P&L Report in order for the system not to recognize the date selected as an end of a month is currently unavailable.

If you wish to have this option, I suggest sending product suggestion straight to our Developers. Here’s how:

1.    Go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
2.    Select Product Suggestion.
3.    On the QuickBooks Feedback window, fill out onscreen instructions.
4.    Click Send Feedback.

Please know that your voice matters and that updates and changes to QuickBooks are largely the results of feedback provided by users like you. Rest assured, I’ll make sure to submit feedback on my end in regards to your issue with the 4-week reporting period to reinforce your request.
