I can see the importance of making the line item number an editable field that allows for changing the display order for line items while working with your invoices. At this time, you can manually modify the items to get the correct order of your products and service. For now, you can also use the Feedback feature to send this idea directly to our engineering team. This way, they could take action to help improve your experience. Rest assured they're working nonstop to enhance the product and deliver the best experiences to all QuickBooks users.

- Sign in to QuickBooks.
- Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
- Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.
