Hello there, @HussainAlshaikh

Let me share some insights about how voiding/deleting an invoice affect the Tax in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To clear things out, are you trying to void or delete an unpaid invoice? If so, it'll not clear out or affect the Taxes.

However, if this is a paid invoice and you've already made a tax payment with this transaction, you can create an overpayment for sales tax liability since the paid invoice was deleted/voided.

You can use this link for the complete steps and details about recording an overpaymentManage Sales Tax Payments. When doing this process, you can also consult your accountant for further guidance.

If need to delete a sales tax payment, you can follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Taxes menu and go to the Payments tab.
  2. Select Delete from the Action column. Then select Yes to confirm.

Also, you can always run the Sales Tax Liability report. It provides a detailed about the taxes you owe and why you owe them. Also, it helps you ensure everything is accurate before you file your return to the tax agency. Just go to the Reports or Taxes menu to complete this task.

Please let me know if you have more concerns with this matter. I'll be around to help you further. Take care and stay safe always, HussainAlshaikh.
