Go to 1099 MISC (not NEC) and go the third step where you select accounts

ONCE THERE, use the drop down menu and select OMIT FROM 1099

SAVE THIS WORK

Then go back out and select 1099 NEC

Go to the third step.

your accounts can now be mapped.

It only took me a hundred hours on the phone with them to finally figure this out myself.
