Buy nowHello there, @DrKathyIsIn. I want to ensure you'll be able to import your CSV file in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) seamlessly.
In QBSE, importing CSV files can be done using a 3-column (Date, Description, and Amount) or 4-column (Date, Description, Credit, and Debit) format. You'll want to use the transaction date since it's the day the transaction is created. However, I'd recommend seeking advice from your accountant to verify which date is appropriate to use. This is to ensure your books have accurate data.
Once confirmed all the needed information, you're now ready in uploading your CSV file to QBSEuploading your CSV file to QBSE.
You'll want to categorize your transactions to make sure they are assigned to the correct line of your Schedule C.
Feel free to get back here if you have any other concerns about importing transactions to your QBSE account. I'll be always around to help. Take care.
