Thank you for visiting again the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how printing invoices work in QuickBooks Online. 

You may always print an invoice in QuickBooks Online by clicking the Print or Preview button. The system is set to print as PDF by default to guarantee that you review and validate that all information is correct before printing. That said, defaulting when saving the invoice directly to print isn't available.

On the other hand, you'll only have the option to quickly print the entry when you have already done it and saved it in the system. That said, you can go to the Sales page and locate the transaction and print it.

Here's how:

1. Click the Sales menu on the left panel.
2. Choose Invoices section.
3. Locate the entry and click the drop-down arrow under the Action column.
4. Select Print.

Additionally, if you're referring to change the destination when printing invoices, you'll have to manually adjust the settings to the desired option.
