If the other option is not available for you, you can try the other steps in applying credits to an invoice in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Select Receive Payments.
  3. Choose the customer on the Customer:Job ▼ dropdown.
  4. Click on the Apply Existing Credits? checkbox.
  5. Hit Save.
