It's the reason why you have more custom fields than the regular versions. Let me help you sort this out.

With regards to your first question, you'll enter the custom field name in the Name field. Concerning the data type, you can either select Text and number, Number only, Date, or Dropdown list. If you choose the Dropdown list, enter the items in the list. 

On the other hand, the category in the custom fields belongs to:

• Customer
• Transaction
• Vendor
