I appreciate the efforts you've made in finding ways to add tips or gratuity, Xpert_Jen.

 

I'm here to give additional details about adding the tips option to your invoices.

 

As mentioned by my colleague Nick_M, you can record your customer tips in QBSE. However, letting them add the tips to the invoice isn't available. You'll need to know the amount so you can record it accurately. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Invoices menu.
  2. Click Create invoice.
  3. Select Add new for a new customer or locate the customer name from the dropdown list for an existing customer.
  4. In the Product or Service area, choose the Add new to add product and service for tips.
  5. Enter your desire name, description, and amount.
  6. Hit Save, then click Save again to save the invoice.

 

In addition, once you receive the invoice payment. Ensure to track them under the Transaction page. Please refer to this article to learn how to add your transactions: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
