Hi GCurry,

I'd like to share information on why we cannot produce a sales report from bank deposits.

Only sales transactions such as invoices and sales receipts are reported as sales. Bank deposits are not included, even if you categorize them as Sales. The Sales is just a category name and doesn't represent the Sale transaction type, and it can be renamed at any time.

In addition, not all deposits that are classified as income are considered sales. Some of which may be from interest income or other forms of income. That is why it isn't ideal to take sales data from bank deposits. However, you can always run the Profit and Loss report to see how much you have accumulated for your Sales category. You can also click its value to see the list of transactions under it.

Another reason is a type of bank deposit transaction that is usually reported on the Balance Sheet.

Let me know if you have other questions about bank reports or transactions.
