I know how beneficial for you and your business to be able to edit account names and numbers by bulk. This process will save your business time.
We take all feedback and suggestions into consideration to help improve our product. I encourage you to let our Product Development Team know you'd like to add the option to modify account names and numbers by batch.
- Press the Help icon at the top to choose Send Feedback Online and Product Suggestion.
- Click the Type of Feedback droop-down to select Product Suggestion.
- Fill in the field boxes with the correct information.
- Hit Send Feedback.
In the meantime, I still suggest you manually edit each account name and number. Click on this link for detailed instructions and make sure to go directly to QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. The article includes instructions on how to make an account inactive and add a sub-account.
