You may want to double-check what you are replying to.  This thread is about desktop scanners and not barcode scanners.  Thankfully I was able to find another thread in which a user explains how to fix the issue in a YouTube video.  I would recommend looking into it as the trip up is in Quickbooks but there is a simple fix to allow you to use a TWAIN scanner.
