I'm here to help you get back on track, @manny55.

I'd recommend updating your QuickBooks Desktop program and then check the email preferences if it was setup correctly. I'd be happy to show you the steps below:

  1. Update your QuickBooks Desktop program.
  2. Restart the program once done and go to the Edit menu.
  3. Select Preferences and choose Send Forms.
  4. Under My Preferences, select the email account you are using and click Edit.
  5. In the Edit Email Info screen go to the SMTP Server Details section and set the server name and port to your email provider settings. In your case, you can refer the AOL ISP details below:
    • SMTP Server: smtp.aol.com
    • SMTP Port: 465 or 587 (see Note) (SSL enabled for incoming and outgoing mail server)
  6. Change the name and then click OK

I've added an article that may help you on your future task in case you need to check the performance of the program: Resolve QuickBooks Desktop performance issues: Manage your data file.

I'm willing to help you again if you have more questions about being unable to send an email. I'm also here to assist you with any other concerns you might have. Take care.
