Buy nowI have had the same / similar issue. Each week, I have to prepare a report for our owners with regards to the profitability of the projects. It can take hours for something that I should easily be able to run in QuickBooks. When I went to Projects, the total costs on the main page (and printed report) wasn't equaling the total costs when I actually went into the project. I reached out to QuickBooks several times to attempt to resolve my issue, and no one could seem to understand my issue. Finally, I was able to narrow down the difference between the overview and the Project Profitability to contract services. Once I went into the contract services account and changed the type from payroll to other business expense, my numbers match!! Since it appears that many people are having the same issue, I would suggest looking at your account types and changing if necessary. It may not solve everyone's issues, but it may help narrow the differences.
