Hi snoopysum,

It's great to see you taking advantage of the versatility of QuickBooks Online by creating Income accounts to fit the needs of your business. I know the importance of getting all those accounts to show in your Profit and Loss reporting. I can help you with customizing your Profit and Loss report so it'll include the new revenue account you've set up.

When you're running your Profit and Loss report the default is to display the accounts that are active. Your new account may not be showing up because there are presently no transactions that have used the new account. To have accounts with zeros to show up on your Profit and Loss report you'll need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Reports from the left navigation menu.
  2. Choose the report, Profit and Loss, from the Business Overview section.
  3. At the top of the report, you'll see options for customizing. Report Period, Display Columns by, Compare another Period, Accounting Method, and Show non-zero or active only.
  4. If you Click the Drop-down arrow under the Show non-zero or active only you can change the Columns/Rows to All.  If you make this change it'll show all of the Accounts even if they have a zero balance.
  5. Click Run Report.

If there are transactions that have been recorded to this account and they're still not showing, you may have a browser issue. When you open webpages on your internet browser the page downloads cookies into your browser's cache. Eventually, this needs to be emptied or it starts to disrupt other programs running in your browser. If this is what's happening there's an easy fix, just follow these steps:

I hope you've found this helpful. If you have any other questions please reach out. Have a fantastic day!
