Being able to customize and save your reports is something we made sure to provide in QuickBooks Desktop. I'd be happy to help you save your customized report.
Sometimes the general reports don't always give you all the info you are looking for or gives you to much information. That's where customizing comes in. You can customize your reports to include information or remove information within that reports function. for example if you are looking at a sales report you can remove customers with no balance but you aren't able to add employees to the list. In order to customize a report you can follow the steps here.
Another great thing is once you customize the report you can memorize it which allows you to pull up that report with all the customized features you included. To memorize a report you can follow these steps:
- From the reports window, select Memorize.
- On the Memorize Report window, type in the name you want to assign the report. Note that you need to enter a new name when you are saving a new memorized report. If you want to overwrite a previously saved report, use a name similar to it.
- (Optional) Select the Save in Memorized Report Group checkbox if you want to save the report on a specific report group (Accountant, Banking, etc...)
- (Optional) Select Share this report template with others. When you select this checkbox, your report template will be accessible to other QuickBooks users when they go to the Contributed tab in the Report Centre.
- Select OK.
